Road Trippin'

It's taken me a while to process it but here it is. Last weekends road trip with Nick and George...

9pm - 11pm Fri 11 Nov
Drive out of Edinburgh to the boarder with England on the west coast. Met office had issued a force 12 storm warning (hurricane strength) for Scotland's west coast. Camped in artic quality tent and sleeping bags in a car park. Was nice and warm.

7am-10am Sat 12 Nov
Woken by curious local... drove to Carlisle (North of England) for breakfast. Found a 'discount' Greggs (read: unsold, cold pastys from the previous days... yuk)Drove to a farmers marketand left having purchased nothing.

Late morning / early afternoon
The beautiful lake-district

Afternoon
Manchester. Nice people, frightening shopping centre.

Evening
Drive through Wales to Swansea. Stayed with Nick's parents

Sun AM
Drive through the beautiful land of Wales - mists rising from the vallys and then back into England.

Sun PM
Onto Leeds in the North of England, explore Nick's old uni haunts... Drive to a hillside restraunt. Then home. 1000 miles in 46 hours...
