Hey there...
what a nice day. praying with Tom and Finn and Rebekah on the roof at Raven. Loving doing this. We were really resting in God's presence and asking to be fed where we are hungry. I was reading Malachi 3 v 3-4
"The LORD will purify the descendents of Levi, as though they were gold or silver. Then they will bring the proper offerings to the LORD, and the offerings of the people of Judah and Jerusalem will please him, just as they did in the past" (CEV)
I think i am feeling a freshness and a renewed passion to really worship and be in God's presence and to not trample on what he is brining through by being thoughtless with him.
Tom and me are going to go to St Andrew's next Thursday to join in a 24-7 week up there.
Reading 'Red Moon Rising' (the story of 24-7 so far) and getting exited by the story of a guy getting his toenail healed. why? because i have a bad toe nail that is kind of symbolic to me. i got depressed back in 2000 and one night when very frustrated i kicked my bedroom door and wreaked my toenail and it has always been dodgy since.
God has had me on a long process of healing and being restored and rebuilt since and my toenail has been a bit of a reminder of this - slowly getting better also. i really want to know that it is God who has healed it... not just the passage of time and that the same has been true for my life. i don't want to be better because i have a healthier lifestyle and have more realistic expectations now. i want it to be God. I know it is God - he has given me so much these last years (and taken much away) that has brought me to the place i am now. And this feels like a new time so maybe my almost healed toe is tingling because it's time for fuller healing and moving on? Don't know... and am afraid to look at it. But God certainly came very close on the bus today reading about that guy's toe and he does every time i've had it prayed for so i think things are happening in me. Does that make sense?
I'm seeing a lot more of where i am healed and more areas that still need it - selfishness and self-reliance but those too feel as if they are being uncovered.
